Help on right paint job.
I have bought my first vett this summer ,a very orginal '71 convertible that is Mulsanne Blue and want to paint it this winter. Have a good paint shop that has done several vett lined up and want to do it right! I want to stay as close to orginal as possible but want a shinny or metalflake look. I also want to be able to enjoy it out on the highway, not a show car that just sits inside. Any suggestion on what to do to to get this look and help it value. Thanks for any help
Has the car been painted before ?
If so , I would highly reccomend having the car stripped down to the original primer and then shoot it with some Urethene Primer and use Urethene paint as well . Stay away from Laquer primer !
