Default Computer beeping/no diagnostic code - Battery?

Been hearing a beeping sound and wasn't sure what it was - While my '72 is computer controlled, so am I - found out that it's me

I have an internal defibrillator and I'll tell you, It's the weirdest thing to hear yourself beeping. I've had it for four years now and the doctor says it's probably time for a battery change. I'll be going to the heart hospital first thing in the morning to see what's going on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a quick 'pop the hood and change the battery' rather than a major overhaul. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Hey Craig, nice to see that the 72 is coming along again.
See if they can put in a Optima Red Top battery this time, maybe it would last a little longer than the last one. Yeah, carrying that around may be a bit of pain, but you will get plenty of time out of it.

Hope everything goes well. I should be down in your Neighborhood for work around the 2nd week of October. I am installing a lot of equipment at Northwest Medical Center and the new hospital in Oro Valley. I will give you a call and try and bring some beers down your way one night.

Thanks everyone!

I am a little apprehensive about going to the hospital and getting cut open again. I died twice when they put it in and it was a very bad experience for me. Jeez, you would think I am 68 and not 48.

Bryan, your making me thirsty - those beers sound good and it would be good to see you again. I hope I'll be here, (I'll be here )

Good luck! I agree, it seems strange that 48 would have heart problems. But I'm 47 and I'm heading in Wednesday for heart surgery to correct a condition called atrial fibrillation, where the heart beats out of control. I'll be thinking of you, keep me in mind.

I'm back! Yep, just the battery - whew Just a three month battery life warning that sounds twice a day.
I had them turn off that damn beep though, got tired of thinking the thing was getting ready to belt me.
I have to schedule an appointment with the 'mechanic' next week to swap things out. Should be a one day stay in the 'garage' They have to change the entire unit. Imagine throwing your laptop away when the battery runs out and buying a new laptop.

Hey Craig, at least your getting all new stuff, instead of them just patching the old thing back together...

Good luck, and keep us posted...

Oh and when Bryan is there, be sure to ask him about the chocolate cake.
