There is a three position rocker switch down by my right leg on the tranny tunnel. It doesn't appear to do anything on mine, but is an original with a fusible link attached. It appears in the original manual but the manual doesn't say what it is (was) for. Any help?

TIA as always!

My '76 has the same thing. I have no clue what it is, either. When I had the center console apart to change some guages and radio, I found it was attached to the heater controls....

Rear window defroster. It is a fan. 3 position switch. High-Off-Low.

rear window defogger, blower type, not the wire type on late model cars.

As other posters have said, it is for your rear defogger blower fan. It has a vent on the driver's side interior "B" pillar.

So that's what that is supposed to do. My 76's previous owner had rewired it into the ignition as a kill swicth.
