Okay then what is a good wing for the car. It needs a little more than the stock 80 wing. My buddies have tried to convence me to put a small aluminum wing on it but I think that that is for imports not vettes.

You don't "need" any more than the stock lip on the 1980. If you "want" more than that is a different story. Many of us here have had the 1980 style body to speeds over 140+ and not had any problem with the rear end lifting.
You can get a wing that adds on from Ecklers.

You are looking for a spoiler, wings are for racing or rice. Most of the vette catalog places have a 80-82 ground effects kit and an optional spoiler. This looks pretty nice. Afew people here on the forum have them, maybe they will post
