How do you get the #%&*@ trans dipstick in
I just dropped my new engine and transmission in my 76. It's a small block with a TH350 trans. Last night I spent 1 1/2 hours trying to get the new chrome trans fill tube/ dipstick into place but can't get it any where near the opening in the trans.
I dropped the one side of the cross member to lower the trans a little, I'll drop the other side tonight and try. IS THERE a trick to this? Something I'm missing? The trans came out of the car so it fits properly.

I made that mistake the first time I put my engine back in too. I finally pulled my engine back up with the trans. attached and took three minutes to put the tube back in, after trying all day to fish it back in with the engine in the way. Very frustrating.
