Default Re-discovered love

When i got out of high school i had the idea to buy a corvette, both my older brother and my dad had one (88,76). At that time i loved the look of the 78-82 and really fell in love with them. Then, my brother for some reason was going to sell the 88 and i bought it. i've driven it ever since and love it. Now don't get me wrong, i love my 88, but i'm looking at pictures of the 78-82 tonight and i'm in love again. now i'm upset, i can't have the years i love, and can't drive the vette i have...it's in storge for the winter already...just wanted to tell the C3 guys that if i could choose between a late C3 and mine, i'd choose the C3

When I was finally able to get my Corvette... there was "no decision to make"... my personal feeling is that there has not been a vette that has the personality of the C3. The unique styling and memories or Highschool still burn strong. Don't we all remember the days of cruising my the Chevy dealer to eye the new corvettes (C3s)!

Ditch the C4. They don't even get a first look, let alone a second look. Own a C3 and you will always stand out in a crowd.

you know, maybe i'm just a product of my era, but my c5 is a simply stunning car. it does absolutely everything better than my '81. HOWEVER, when it comes to flat out visceral appeal, there is no comparison. as beautiful as the c5 is, the proportions and voluptuous shape of the c3 blows it away. i can't wait to fix her up.

I understand the dream thing... my Mom's second husband bought an 81 right after they divorced. The shame is that I loved his car more than him. I always preferred the earlier sharks. I bought my 74 a little over a year ago and have had a blast working and driving it. The shark body style has the best lines of ANY car ever made and demands attention every where you go. Sure, other gens of Vettes have more whistles and bells - but will never get the respect that the classy sharks get...
