I bought a 75 Vette this past weekend and it's really helped remind me what a simple pleasure driving is. With the T-Tops off in this weather, I simply can't get enough of driving this car!
The previous owner kept it in beautiful shape and kept meticulous records on it. However, the door ajar light is constantly on. I've checked both doors and can't figure out why it stays on like this...anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
Check the push switch's on the rear part of the door jambs on both the driver and passenger doors. The door ajar light should go out when pushing them in, if not then you probably have a bad switch and is an easy replace.
Push in on the switch in the door jamb. If that's not breaking contact with the door closed, shim the door pocket with some thin (1/16" or less) material. Doc Rebuild carries the shims, but you can make your own out of whatever you want.....just as long as it's thin...and stays put!!! You may also have to pull the switch out to shim behind it and check the connections. The access panel for the #3 body mount (front portion of rear wheel well) will give you access to the wirering. Hold the rear of the switch with your hand (it swivels) as you screw out the switch from the door jamb. I hold the rear of the switch during removal so the wires don't get all twisted, or snap off. The connections on the rear of the switch are delicate. Hope I've helped ya....
