One of my pet peeves can't stand people that don't signal. I gotta laugh though when one of these ignorant people get to a 4 way stop just before you and want to turn and you are going straight.

You proceed through the intersection and the loser then puts his blinker on and looks at you like you did something wrong

In Texas, got to have them unless the vehicle is less than 80 inches wide and was manufactured before 1960. A better one is that you must have windshield wipers to pass inspection....however, you don't have to have a windshield.....

My favorite is when a guy is signalling left and turns right!

It's apparently not illegal in Colorado. You can drive something that was in a head-on and as long as it has passed emissions, no problem! Safety is of little concern as long as you don't dare pollute. (You see, requiring people to make their cars safer is clearly discriminatory against the poor and the illegal immigrants.)

My 78 has a retarded turn signal lever which is a PITA to use. If I'm making a left turn or right turn that isn't obvious (IE, I'm not in the left turn or bike lane), I put the turn signal on. At a 4-way stop I'd use it. Likewise, if I'm a few car lengths ahead of someone and they aren't coming down on me like a ton of bricks, I probably won't use it. If it's a closer maneuver, I will.

I SHOULD get it fixed, but I don't have the time/skill to get the column down to the switch. The arm sort of rotates in position.
