Does the parking brake on a 76 model adjust like the drum brakes of old. As in, find a rubber gromet open it and turn the **** with a flat screw driver.
Mine will hold the car on a small angle only if the rear of the car is downhill, if the front is pointing downhill full brake lever won't hold it.
thanks

YEA---- but no rubber gromet----small hole (2) on rotor --between wheel studs----HAVE FUN!!!! Might have-to replace p.brakes shoes
DON'T adjust p.brakes tooooo tight......built-up heat----WHEEL NO TURN.....STUCK ON SIDE OF ROAD!!!!!
There is a specific adjustment sequence in the manual for parking brakes. You don't want to get the brakes too tight with the wheel adjustment, but tight enough that they will hold without having to pull the lever up as far as it goes.
I vaugely remember that the brakes should be adjusted to just drag with the lever up 4 "clicks" or something similar to that. Check the book for the exact sequence.
