Shifter binding?
I put a 200-4R in. I put the Shiftworks conversion kit in. I also put in a new cable. I had it set up just fine. I could move it and get it to every gear. After I drove the car to my dad's place for some finishing stuff, the shifter won't move forward, but will move down. I got it up on the hoist. When I use a wrench for leverage I can move the linkage and shifter forward and back. When I disconnect the linkage from the transmission and try to move the stick it won't go up. I can force it forward though. I think maybe the cable is binding somehow. I'll have to tear the console apart and see if it's anything, but I know the shifter can move freely through its shift pattern. It seems to be the cable. It can be pulled, but not pushed basically. How can it be binding?
