After waiting for a month for the company to deliver my car, it showed up with the windshield cracked. They are trying to claim that the window was like that even though I saw the car 2 days prior to it getting loaded. Has anyone had a problem like this?
I sure would not take delivery if my car came like that...don't accept anything but satisfaction and a "new" car with a "new" windshield! That is and I would be giving the dealer or seller of car a piece of my mind! Joe!
When my 79 was delivered a few years ago the driver had an invoice from the seller with every and I mean every little mark on the car. We had to go over it when I took delivery. Whoever delivered the car to the shipper should have it.
I have shipped several cars and they always do a very detailed inspection for any and all flaws before pickup. I have been given a copy of the inspection and had to sign it for the truckers.
Just my experience.
You will likely just have to go ahead and fight them on it. Shippers have LOTS of these type of complaints to deal with and you will need to get pretty serious before they ultimately pay out. Keep after them with real action, not idle threats and you will probably get what you want.
