Default Pre-Carpet Installation Advise

I am about ready to install my carpets in my 75 coupe. What, if anything, should I place under the carpets for sound deadening and heat reduction? Does anyone have advise as to what product works the best, easiest to install, etc. Thanks

I just replaced my carpet and used "Reflectix" - it's sold in 4' x 50' rolls at Home Depot.

Also, decide if you will want speakers in the rear of the car. If so now is the time to run the speaker wire.

Also, decide if you want to replace that old antenna wire with a new one or replace the antenna with an electric one. now is the time to run those wires as well.

Here's a link to learn more about Reflectix

http://www.reflectixinc.com/

For those that have used it, how much difference did it make in terms of heat reduction? Did you use it along with factory insulation? If so, which layer did you put down first?

SanDiegoPaul - it was because of your posts that I used it. I couldn't believe how easy it was to put in.
I haven't gotten my seats back in yet, so I can't tell anything about noise or heat reduction. I'll post about it when I do.
