I was just wondering if they make the 100 wire spoke rims with spinners that would fit a 69 Vette. I saw some on E Bay and they were deep dish 15 x 7 in. Don't know if they will fit a Vette or not but they are reasonably priced and I saw some on some other car Sunday and they are beautiful rims. Anybody got any unique rims on their Vette ?

I don't know if they are unique but my 77 came with wire wheels. I think they were made by Dayton Wheel. They have an adapter that bolts to the wheel hub using the lug studs, the adapter is toothed on the outer edge and the wheel is also toothed to prevent slippage. The wheel bolts on with a single center (knockoff) nut.
I got 15x8 wire wheels from TRUE-SPOKE on my 68.
They came with alu 1/4 " spacers to clear the brake calipers, but I found that my BB was too strong and that the wheels where slipping on the spacers and thw rims only holding on the lug nuts, not on any axle center.
Sinse this looked too dangerous to me, I got some steel spacers fabed and weld to the rims. This now centers them perfectly to the axle and the lug bolts/nuts do only what they are suppost to do.
Now THAT'S a sports car looking rim. Different, unique, stylish. I like that look. I'm still running the Vette wheel that came out with the 69 hubcaps. Mine is the only Vette that I have ever seen that has the hubcaps. They look pretty good but I would like to go the wire look.
