Default Single piece vs. 3-piece front spoiler

In the catalogs they advertise a single piece and a 3-piece front spoiler. The 3-piece is much more expensive. Can somebody shed some light on the advantages and disadvantages of each? I'm thinking about putting the 78 pace car front spoiler on my 79.

Great minds think alike, I was thinking of doing the same on my 79'. from what I gather is that the 1 piece besides kinda having a different look, it may not fit properly depending on body differences. the three piece (which looks better IMO) can be adjusted for a perfect fit before drilling holes and painting.

I have the aftermarket 3 piece on mine. The center piece fits well but the outer pieces fit terrible. The only mounting points on them is on the very top and very bottem, nothing in the middle. This ends up leaving a huge gap between the body and the spoiler no matter how much you try to move them around. When I get time I am going to try and fabricate some type of fastener for the midle of each end piece but the way they are made it won't be easy.

Put the factory 3 piece on so early that the paint matches & it appears original. On low slung Corvettes you can expect to scrape the center part which is flexable. Factory 3 piece rec.
A moulded in 1 piece may be best for a show car.

The 3 piece is a urethane spoiler. It is modeled after the original Pace Car spoiler. When painted, it will need flex agent added to the paint. The one piece is a fiberglass spoiler. No flex agent is needed; however, it is not as forgiving when you kit something like a curb or something in the road. The fiberglass is much cheaper also.

Before you paint either, you should fit it to the car.

I fitted the 3 piece urethane spoiler on my 79,& have already scraped over a few curbs.Being flexable is a big advantage, although it needs repainting again, even though I used a flex agent in the paint. The fibreglass one piece is not as flexible,& I doubt if it would stand up as well as the urethane.

The three piece spoiler fits 1973 - 1979 cars. Mine came with the car when I bought it (in the spare parts boxes, not on it) I installed it in August and really like the looks.
