Default Reuse pushrods?

On a cam swap, can I reuse my pushrods as long as I keep them with the same rocker arm?

Can be done but they are cheap/easy compared to replacing the cam. Not worth taking a chance reusing them IMHO.

Good Luck w/the project!

In that case, should I get new roller rockers too?

Why would pushrods affect the cam? The only time I've seen them fail is at the rocker end, and that was because of either coil bind or the rocker nut backing off. Roll them on a flat surface and if they aren't bent, clean them up and re-use them. Joe

I have punched out a stock rocker and trashed a pushrod on a cam swap before. It is not that uncommon on higher mileage pieces that get a new cam with higher lift. The old wear does not like the new extra travel in the valvetrain and the cup blows out of the rocker arm.

I would agree that if the pushrods are straight and the ends are not worn I would keep the rocker mated to the pushrod and try to use them over.
