Dyno'ed the MiniRat
I was not going to dyno my car because I already blew one Super T10 tranny and was babying the "new" one until I got the new Tremec TKO 600 in the spring. The Toronto boys have had a session lined up for over 2 months so I decided I would go but I would limit it to 5000 RPM .
Anyway the MiniRat puts out some pretty decent torque number and I am sure the horespower will go well beyond 400RWHP when I take it to 6500 RPM in the spring. One thing that is limiting the HP right now is the 1 5/8 inch headers, I am going to get 1 7/8 inch in the spring so that will also boost the power a bit.
Probably the reason I blew the first transmission is that sustanined torque of over 350ft/lbs at 2000 RPM to over 400ft/lbs. Apparently the aluminum case of the tranny twists and that is when the damage is done.
The Toronto boys were a little more pleased than last year or the year before as it seems the motors are getting bigger and more powerfull every year with all over 200 RWHP and some approaching 300 RWHP with a C4 equipped with a supercharger posting a respectable 325 RWHP with a slipping belt. Thanks to 75 Stingray for organizing the event.

That the truly shocking thing to me about putting this motor together is that ( besides the radical idle ) it behaves like a normal motor. I can drive it around at 1700 RPM is 4th with a 3.08 rear end. It is actually better behaved than my 355ci was. It is only when you punch it and open the 4 barrels do you find out it''s really got some power. That is the beauty of the solid rolller. All the other stuff I have been running on my 355ci for years, Vic Jr.intake, 750DP etc.
The Super T10 is, the one I had anyway rated at only 275 ft/lbs, I think I am over that at idle

Thanks, the motor has actually never been tuned I just put it in and set the timing. I re-jetted but that was done more on what I thought it needed than anything else.
I am going to take it back to the shop in the spring and get it done right with a O2 sensor in the collector etc.
I just did one pull this time to see if I was on the right track and I am pretty happy with the results.
Awesome numbers Wayne, I bet you can't wait for the new tranny and a power tune session to see what you can pull out of that beast!! I can't wait to get mine on the dyno ASAP! I will be geting mine power tuned in the very near future,(as soon as I get my hood back from the paint shop) would you care to join me?

Oh man, that's a flat torque curve! Congrats.
BTW Richmond Gear sells a heavyduty Super T10 Plus for track racing. Is this a heavier case trans than the Super T10? Both wieght the same and each ratio has same torque rating? But different part number are used and the Plus claims steel input retainers and race brass sychro-rings. cardo0
