Default Route 66

Just finished 2 days at Route 66 with my club (Corvettes West), what a rush. Friday night was like a zoo, I was afraid some kid or some weirdo would damage the vette but it worked out and I actually enjoyed answering questions about the car from the kids.
Saturday was absolutely beautiful and the crowd during the day were truly car enthusiasts. Got a lot of looks and compliments on my red 82 and really enjoyed the other cars and open header sounds.
I had a little antifreeze leak on Friday night and checked it further when I got home to discover the lower radiator hose was leaking. got up Saturday morning and changed it, got on the road to Route 66 and the temp gage peged-out @ 260 a mile from home. I stopped and opened the radiator cap and heard air churning through the system and finnally making it's way out the partially open radiator cap.
Got back on the road and the temp went down to about 240 so I continued on only to see the temp guage rise and fall periodically. I spent the day at the show and when I went to leave the temp guage went to 250 for a while before dropping to 240 (had to pull over and open radiator again. Made it home after picking up some orange antifreeze, added it and ran the engine for a while (more air came out) checked the temp and it was back to normal and stayed there, damn what a day.
P.S. got new seat covers (my design), will post pics tomorrow.
