Default Vintage Wheels Black or Grey??

I recently put on the vintage one piece AR 200s I had restored. The spokes I had painted satin black but I saw a chevelle with some original TT D's last week and liked the way the gray spokes looked. I took one front wheel and stripped the black and used eastwoods cast gray and I kind of like it.......what do you guys think? For some reason the black spokes are beginng to look ricer "color coded" for some reason.................

I always liked the grey centers on the AR TT wheels. Back in the day they meant "muscle". Joe

It's hard to tell in the lighting conditions. The grey does look good, but the black is nice too.
BTW - even black, I can't see the "ricer" in it. Your car is so non-rice.

Nick, I am the guy living right down the street fom you. I love the gray centers. I bought the P.S. Engineering wheel that copies the AR "D" wheel and I have been trying to decide what to do with the centers. Would love to see your car in person. It really is a beautiful car. I am only days from having mine back together so would love to hook up with you. Bill.

I did not like the gray. So I went with black. I don't see any "ricer" in my Corvette.

I guess the only reason I say "ricer" is that every euro I see has black or graphite painted wheels..............

71Coupe,
I'll get back to you tomorrow re the details as per the IM. Those are American Racing Torq Thrust IIs (model CL205) custom made with the appropriate backspacing, wheel width and offset for my 1967. I would advise that everyone consider those specs carefully before purchase wrt to caliper rub, tire size, fender chaffing and emergency brake bracket clearance. It's a heck of a bad experience to get the wheel and tire size wrong! Not just the cost but the potential for damage to fiberglass.

That's a tuff one. I think the black looks better against the yellow. Nice car.

I like Charcol Grey Metallic on Torque Thrusts BUT, for 200S Americans there is only ONE color! Satin Black!!!
