Default Clutch Pedal help?

Over the last 100 miles or so the clutch pedal has now "sagged" closer the floor to the point where you can pull it back up a few inches and then let go and it just drops back down.

Neutral seems fine and there is still "spring" in the pedal when you push it all the way down, but I can barely get it into any gear at all now.

The pedal is new and the clutch and pressure plate are new also (new when I bought the car anyway)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If your clutch and pressure plate are relatively new then you should be able to adjust the petal back to the normal position. However, your description sounds to me that you're about to lose your clutch and you'll need to replace it and the pressure plate. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah I hope youre wrong too

Well it wasnt "slipping" at all -during acceleration it was 100% A-OK

Why might I lose the clutch/pressure plate from the description of the problem?

Hopefully it can be adjusted but I just want to know all the possibilties...

Thanks again!

You can adj the pedal by adj the pivot under the hood, look for the rod coming out the fire wall then unscrew the lower nut down an inch or 2 and then screw the upper nut down until the play is gone then tighten the lowe nut back up. These might be loose already and moved up on the rod giving you the play you are experiencing.

If your out of adjustment on your clutch rod, you may need a longer or adjustable clutch fork pivot ball.

It might be the clutch return spring. It attaches to the firewall from the clutch rod.
