I've lowered my body back unto the frame. The nozzle of the gas tank isn't sitting in the center of the hole in the body. Can someone look at their 80 Corvette and tell me if this is normal. I forgot to take pictures of this area before I lifted the body. The gas tank nozzle is nearer 12 o'clock than 6 o'clock.

Send me your email address and I will send you a picture of my gas tank nozzel position.

I am pretty sure this is normal. The rubber boot that goes between the body and the filler neck has more room at the 6 o'clock position. In fact there is a drain hole down there. I am pretty sure the offset forward is at least 1 inch over center, if not more.
