Whereabouts of Clutch Safety Switch...
My 74 Vette won't start and I believe it is the clutch safety switch. I have already replaced the starter with a new high torque one, and it still won't make a peep. I looked under the hood and under the car and under the dash but to no avail. Can anyone give me a hand...
Thanks,
Dewey

Under the dash up above the the clutch pedal, should have some purple wires running to it. You can put a jumper in it between the purple wires on the plug, I did.

FEVRE is right. The switch is right up the top of the brake/clutch assembly. You can adjust it a little but it is a pain.
It is a lot easier with the driver seat out if you have to go in there. The adjustment is to loosen one bolt and pivot the switch so it switches on earlier on when you press the clutch.
Be warned if you pull it out it is a real SOB to get it back in so do a meter check of the switch in the car before you decide to replace it (if needed).
Good luck.
