Default Suggested Rebuild Kits

Who do you recommend for 1980 350 rebuilt kits? Also, I will be considering upgrading the cam, header, and intake man.. What products do you guys suggest for those? Oh yeah, and what headers will fit on it?

I usually buy my parts seperately - this way you can pick the cam and pistons exactly. The other stuff is relatively cheap thru mailorder houses. I often let the machine shop buy the pistons, there isn't that much choice for a street car, they don't mark them up much, and can fit them better if they have them. Plus it helps if you give them a little of your parts business. There are a million different cams, headers and manifolds out there, depending on your driving habits and goals. Tell us more about your car and what you want to do with it. Joe

I am going to be boring a rebuilding the original engine, and probably keeping the original heads on it. I am not really concerned about having it perfectly original, like for shows, but I want it to hold its value for if I were to ever sell it. I guess having the original block will help for that. I would like to make it more powerful. I thought an upgraded cam would help(it has the stock original in it). I thought an upgraded intake would help too( also original, i think). And maybe some headers. I was told that the engine would be around 300 hp if I picked the right combinations of the above items. That would be a nice upgrade from the original 190. So what items should I use? I don't want to spend a lot of money, probably less than $1500 on parts for the rebuild and upgrades. I want it to be a street car, daily driver. I wont be running it wide open very often. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
