Vette show at the Orange Julep in Montreal tonight, maybe 30-40 cars there, split evenly between generations. Unfortunately it was too dark for any "car" pictures.
I know you guys all love tri-powers, so here's one on a really dirty-looking very un-restored big-block 64. This car was the only one there that looked and smelled more daily-driven than mine!
So here's the neat looking mod, on a black '80. He wrapped all his vaccuum hoses and even the throttle and trans linkages with those colored wire-wraps, black and yellow. Nice and clean looking, and cheeeep!

I don't really like it. Sort of a worthless modification. I'm all for painting parts and making them look nice, but looming everything is sort of excessive and unnecessary. That style of loom is also sort of tacky in my opinion.

Well for "tacky" he already has that air cleaner sticking out of a six-inch hole cut in his hood

My car has the wire loom stuff on everything as well. Including the throttle linkage (i did however leave it off the vacuum lines) Mine's black and it really cleans things up. Cost me 12 bucks. I don't know about the yellow. Seems kinda ricey.

I don't care for the yellow stuff either.

That dude sure likes yellow! That's gotta be the ONLY '67 BB that hasn't been restored right down to the valve stem caps! I feel much better now about driving mine every day...

I don't know...I think that colored wire covering cheapens the whole look. We have some guys in our club that have done that to their C5s, and to me it just took it down a notch. I may be odd, but I tend to really appreciate the cars which are left in the stock state. It find it real fascianting to see the engineering and workmanship of automaobiles throughout the years. The other thing I don't get at shows are the guys who have stuffed animals, or dolls or any of that kind of stuuf in their cars. We have a guy in our club who won a trophy at a show with his C5. The only real difference than others was he had a ventrilaquist dummy sitting on the roof???????? Fuzzy dice or the car hop tray are kind of neat, but the dolls? Let the car speak for itself....
