Which do you prefer and why?

Out of those two - Haynes. More complete, in my opinion. Good to have one of those types of books on hand for general repair and maintenance.not an instruction manual but all those pictures are worth a thousand words. It will save you a lot of frustration.

I have used a Haynes since 1989 on a 73sb and a74bb. I would not trade it for anything(except lars in my spare room.)

Helms it is!
One will be here in 7 to 10 business days. If the book has over 3000 pages in it, it has to have atleast something I can use in it somewhere.

I would get only the factory manuals, Service manual, Chassis Manual, and the AIM.
