Wheel Help!
Ok Ive tried to put my all time favorite wheels (Ansen Sprints Mags) on my 71 and have FAILED!!
They are 15 x 8.5 with a 3.5" backspace and we have seen these same wheels on thousands of C3s for 30 years now...
I even tried (2) 7/32" spacers and the back edge still hits (not rubs, hits) the outside facing side of the caliper.
I guess I could use a 1/2 inch spacer and go with longer wheel studs or grind a 1/4 inch off the caliper but neither seems safe or worth the while?
Any thoughts?
What else can I get in 15 x 8.5 with a 4" BS - or do I need to stay with 15 x 8? (I dont want to go to 16" or 17")
