alright, just to make things complicated, im looking at putting the pop up lights back in my car via purchasing a complete headlight set up off ebay or the like, now my car has no threads to mount to or nothing and i really dont know what to do about that, with that said id have to create something obviously, now would that allow me to use any c3 model year headlights since the mounting brackets are different between some years, cause at this point ill have to remake mounting points on the car some how. as for everything ielse i have a good enough grasp on it to complete this. so my only big problem is mounting the headlight assembly to the car. any one have any ideas, photos, or comments? thanks - Bob
i have no idea what goes into holding the headlights to the front but i dont see anything except what looks like a piece of metal that goes acrossed the back of the front where the hood ends(confusing?)

You should go find another C3, with working vaccuum headlights, park them next to each other with the hoods up, and carefully compare what's SUPPOSED to be there, with what's NOT there on your car. Go all the way from the dash switches (lights and bypass) follow the hoses under the hood, from the manifold to the vac canister, to all the attachment points and supports up front. This will give you an idea of what you're up against. So yea, you might just need the light assembly, but more likely you'll need switches/hoses/t-fittings/canister/v-bar reinforcement bracket/wiring/etc etc etc. Not to discourage you, but these things are enormously complicated (some say needlessly) and once someone has removed most of the pieces it's a nightmare to replace em and get it all working again (unless you've done it a million times).
