New driveshaft?
Would a "new" driveshaft need balanced? Guy I talked to at a local shop said not necessarily.

I was under the impression that the driveshaft needs to be balanced. I would assume that a new driveshaft would be balanced from the manufacture, GM or aftermarket. I would just ask when ordering. If your getting a driveshaft re-done for some reason, it should be done and listed on the invoice as being balanced.
