Default Got the news today.

I've been on sick leave since August 4th, 2004. Saw the MD today and said I can go back to work October 25!

Originally he wanted me to take 6 months off. But I don't have enough sick time to cover that.

Think of it this way, you have recovered and are well enough to go back to work. That is a very good thing indeed. Glad to see that your previous health problems are straightened out and your back to your normal life.

If I were to take that much time off, I would find it very hard to go back to work. My foreman at work is getting ready to retire in a few months, he takes off at least one day a week on sick leave.

Good news!!

The doc probably saw you working on the car and figured he couldn't cover for you anymore!

Actually he said, "Whenever you think you're ready." I could have said "after Christmas" and I think he would have said, "Ok."

That gives me about 3 weeks to get her running and a couple days to road test.

If I didn't have this time off, it would have taken me another year, working here & there on weekends, to get my engine transplanted and running.

Hey Len, were you a dairy farmer in a past life ?
Sounds like you might be milking it.

Well, it's good news ... you are recovering AND got a jump on the BB project.
