Numbers Question
Any info would help.Vin is 1Z67K2S51740.I know what these numbers mean.What do the numbers stamped on the block behind the water pump tell me? They are from the bottom, 12S517140 V0317CKW. I know the "CKW" is base 4spd and the"S51740 is production, what do the others mean?

"V0317" is "V" for Flint engine assembly plant, "0317" is the date March 17th.
"12S517140" is "1" for Chevrolet, "2" is for the year 72, "S" is for St.Loius Corvette assembly plant, and the rest is the last 5 digits of the VIN.
