Not to hard to fix. Gently remove clock hands open up case and you will have burnt points or a broken spring both are a easy fix. My spring was broke I removed it and formed another loop on the end and reinstalled, works great.
The "how to repair" website gives good material. Repair or replace with a quartz movement? It all depends. The electro-mechanical movement is very easy to repair but it WILL fail again. I have read that the weak part of this clock is the points. If you intend to show your car (NCRS) fix the clock. If you never intend to show your car put in a quartz movement. Only a purist will look at your second hand to see how it is moving.

ps, fwiw, I repaired the clock in my 66 and it lasted for 6 months, the repaired clock in my 72 is still working 2 years later
I'm opting for another gauge, probably tranny temp. I put an aftermarket stereo in, and it has a clock anyway. I've actually had a passenger ask why they have two clocks in a Corvette!
