Well, now that I realize that the Trick Flow 23 degree heads won't fit with my exhaust manifolds, I have a good excuse to install headers! However, it seems that not all headers will fit along with the angled spark plugs in the TFS heads.
So I'm at it again:
My question is to those who've installed these heads, what headers are you running?
Dynomax ceramic coated fit great, are tight with my steeriods but I think a little adj will get the upper heim joint far enough away from the #3 tube keep from having to dimple it. Just did the test fit last night as a matter of fact.
I'm running 1-5/8" Headman headers on my Trick Flow heads. They clear the spark plugs easily enough.
Probably not a Headman specific problem but I did have a difficult time getting a good seal between the "D" port head and the round port header. Finally got a seal using Percy's aluminim header gaskets.
Hooker 1 3/4 sidepipe headers fit fine with the angle plug Trickflows. I can take out all plugs with a socket except #1 that I have to use a wrench on. No need to dimple anything. And 90* boots clear fine, I haven't burnt one yet
