Default 81 owners do me a small favour??

Hey guys,

As I so wisely put the vette away for the winter, and am currently unable to go the 30 miles to go take the measurements I need, could any 81 vette owners measure or just tell me is a 3 3/4 diameter driveshaft will work in stock location??

could someone please measure at the slip yoke and the pinion yoke to see if the 3 3/4" tube will work??

Ill love you forever if you do!! Thanks.

if you don't get an answer in the next few days, I/M me. i will be pulling my diff (and ancillary components) shortly for a damage assesment, and it's just sitting 40 feet away in the driveway.

I have my driveshaft out of my 81 auto right now for new U-Joints. It is all cleaned and drying in the back yard. Will be painting it tonight and installing the new u-joints tomorrow. Email me at swhite7@bellsouth.net if you still need pictures and let me know what measurements you need and will get them to you first thing in the morning.

81 Vette,
Just because it may work on some elses car does not mean it will work on yours. No 2 vettes will sit on the frame the exact same. Some will be more forward/backward than others or some might sit a little to the right/left on the frame. It would be best to measure yours.
