While refilling my A/C system with 134a, the condenser blew out
I guess when it built pressure the condenser couldn't handle the pressure.
So, I need a new condenser. What's the best place to get one from?
I see Corvette America has one for $169, and that's the best price I've seen so far. Is that about the best I can do?
Any idea of what your high side pressure was at the time? Inadequate evacuation or overcharge can send pressure up really high, you could blow a new one even.
Actually, it was a professional who was doing it when it blew. He had the gagues on and said as it was coming up to pressure it blew out. I don't remember what he said the pressure was, but he said it wasn't even at full operating pressure when it went.
I'll definitely check Autozone, thanks!
