Well i took my 73 out for the first time after 26 years. We just finished with a big brake overhaul including new lines. Brakes bled like a charm!!! So we fired the car right up took it for a spin and ran like !!! My freind who is helping me is a GM mechanic. He says we will replace the points, cap, rotor, all plug wires tan check timing and a few other things. Than see what happens. The plugs were already replaced for the initial start up. Car seems to idle low like at 400 RPMs.Hesitates really bad runs wirse as it heats up. Any other sugetions I can run past my freind would be great. Stock 350 L-48 Thanks

Mine had been parked for at least 5 years when i bought her. she didn't run right until I cleaned out the fuel tank & rebuilt the carb.
Good luck getting her back on the road... It's a project well worth it!!!
Q-jet carb right? Accelerator pump rubber piston is probably dried out if it has sat for a long time. A carb kit from NAPA would be a good investment. Get the ignition pieces changed out, make the adjustments and see how it runs. If it sill hesitates, get a carb kit.
