Shifter replacement for 81?
Long painful couple of months. My stock shifter cable on my 81 auto snapped. Replaced with a napa unit, 2 weeks later, the shaft at the top crumples, replace with anouther napa unit, and 4 weeks later (today) it crumples as well.
Before I go through this ordeal again, is there an after market shifter that will bolt to the stock location without having to cut or drill anything?
I like some of the B&M auto shifters, but I dont want to hack up the floor to make them fit.
I see that they have console shifters for the same year Camaro and T/A. Will one of these work?
