Default vacuum line question

Does any one know where I can get a picture of the vacuum lines set up properly. I have a L-48 engine with the smog pump hooked up. There is one hard line out of the carburator with no line hooked to it. And one 3 way T missing a line also. I am having a hard time finding the proper set up. My service manual has no pictures. Thanks

Default Me Too!

Hello,
While our friends are at it researching, I have the same problem with a 1973 454 engine. I have some extra lines I dont know where they go, and the Chiltons guide and other parts books do not give me a good idea of the proper connections. So if anyone knows where I can find the correct carb connections and vacuum connections let me know where I can see this.

Thanks for letting me tag along with your earlier post.

A couple of sources are
1. Dr. Rebuild catalog has a section of most engines with vacuum line connections.
2. Tom's 73 site has some info. Look at: http://1973-corvette.com/
3. Run a search on the forum for 73 vacuum lines and there is some info.

Good luck.

Looking At The Carb From The Front. Small Line Lower Right To Fuel Vapor Canister. Large Lower Left To Pcv Valve. Small Line Lower Left To Solenoid On A.i.r. System. Line From Solenoid To Vac Advance On Dist. Small T Upper Left - One To Vac Choke Pull Off The Other To Egr Valve.

Factory assembly manual has vacuum hose routing diagrams. I would advise anyone that is working on an old Vette to get one ASAP. They do not cost that much and they can be a major help when working on these old girls.

They are not accepting free accounts at this time Also is it hard to remove all that smog stuff including the air pipes that go into the manifolds?
