Bad news is i got the wrong seatbelts for my '74. After i found, removed and paid for a pair of seatbelts from a '97 camaro then managed to lose the receipt ($16.50) i noticed they were fronts and not the rears that i needed. Funny because i allways keep the receipt even for low value items like screws and such - must have been divine intervention for some reason . But what the heck they were pretty filthy anyways. Just that i burned a good day at the boneyard for what i thought was a done deal. OOOoopps.
Good news is i made a great replacement for the gas tank overflow hose nipple. If u'v replaced ur tank overflow seal and drain line u'll know exactly what i'm talking 'bout. That cheap plastic stock (and replacement) piece is worthless - well only $4 to Ecklers or Zip. Made a replacement out'a 1/2" brass tubing - most hardware stores - cut to 1&1/2" and just flared the end. No clamp but wished i used a stock clip/pinch clamp just for piece of mind. Anyways that brass flare sealed up to the overflow rubber and stayed right in place - that stock piece pulled right though and broke up eventhough i tried to use care .
The saga continues on my future post Fuel Lines. cardo0
