I say big block, and not just because that's what I have.

There is just somthing about a early C3 with that 427 or 454 on the side of that BB hood that the SB just dosent have.

I think that the only people here that will say that they would rather have a SB have a NOM one already and obviously love their cars, and the originality is def a factor, so swapping for a BB isn't an option.

Wasnt' this supposed to be a question for ppl who either had a chance to swap in a BB, and didnt' or for ppl who did????

Have a 73 SB currently and will be swapping for a BIG BLOCK as I gather parts for the swap. I do know from past go carts that the BIG BLOCK swap will be well worth it. . But then again I am in TEXAS so it might be a tad further to the next corner than up north lol.

Hell dude, if either you come off the rock, or I go to the rock, Id PAY to take a ride in a Vette as fully invested and built as yours.

On the other count, yea coming from BC...The ROCKY Mountains...Im always a bit concerned about switchbacks...

Went from a 350 to a 502.............. I'll NEVER go back.
Different world- the BB pulls as hard on the highway from 60-120 as it does from 0-60. Try that in a small block.

When I get a C3 to it will have a big block! My Chevelle has a big block. Can't beat them! Torque, Torque, Torque! That's not to say anything is wrong with a SB either!

Right now my Chevelle runs 10.80's with a .030 over 454. Edelbrock aluminum heads (box stock), 10:1 compression, a relatively small hydraulic cam, with an 830 carb. That's pretty darn fast for a pretty close to stock motor. Next year it will be stroked to 492!

I have a 396 in my garage for sale if anyone needs one make an offer!!!!

I just bought another BB from a friend who had it in a 73 chevy pickup. I never got a chance to ride in the truck but I think he sold me when he said " If you had spit in your mouth when I stab it you would choke" SOLD I will be back with pics and details when I get my camara back

I think it's more due to boredom. After 10-12 of the old BB v SB debates it gets a little tiring and pointless.
