well,

since i have not made up my mind of putting sides mirrors back on my 77 after my exterior mods i need some help. i shaved the handles/locks, molded in the fiberglass bumpers and sheved the marker lights.... i'm trying to keep the curves nice without any interruptions....i.e. holes/mirrors......... i was gonna mount small cameras in the fender vents and have a screen to display but the cost to do that is a little high....... if i do mirrors, not sure if i want the chrome ones or the 80's painted ones....... any suggestions........

what do you mean by sheved the marker lights? Does you state have safety inspections? If not i'd bag the side view mirror, the chrome ones are butt ugly, i painted mine the car color and it blends a little better. The camera is a neat idea.

 

i'm sure i'll get some heat on the the marker lights but with all the other people on the road and things that detroit cops are busy with, i don't think i'll have a problem with it.......... plus, i can always say that my car was a 74 and there wasn't marker lights on a vette before 80...... that might work..

shaved handles and locks.... basically it means that i now longer have locks or handles. i have automatic door poppers (they pull the hatch and pop the door). you can see that feature on alot of custom rods. it keeps a clean look........

hopefully by summer my car will be finished.... since i have alot of time since i'm not working due to a knee surgury, i can not go back to the construction field... maybe an architecture office job (not hiring in detroit though)........ then i can work on my car....... it's engine time and front suspension rebuild time.....
