I've replaced all of my calipers at least once (thank god for lifetime warranties) but they still leak. I'm starting to wonder if its something wrong with the mater cylinder or proportioning valve that could cause this? I can't imagine that 7 (so far) freshly bought rebuilt calipers were all bad. And they definitely are leaking from the calipers, but could also be leaking from elsewhere as well. Any ideas? These are manual brakes BTW.
There is nothing that could cause this except bad rust in the system or poorly rebuilt calipers (my guess) I would get a set from VB&P and I will bet they last a lot longer.
I just did the brake replacement torture exercise recently. 3 out of 4 calipers were fine but the last one was a leaker. Went through 2 more to get one that was servicable. I would have handed them back and bought better pieces but they had my cores already and they were long gone.
Keep trying and be sure they are actualy leaking around the boots. Might be a loose line connection. Use 2 of the dead soft copper washers at the hose fittings.
