Default Anyone BC/CC their engine block?

I was considering this on my new block, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with durability and withstanding heat. The block really doesn't get that hot, so I think it should do just fine. Everything else on the engine is aluminum (heads and intake) thats not going to be painted.

why wouldnt you use laquer paints that could heat cure on??? clear coating an engine...impractical at best Id say. Youd need special base or the heat would just eat it up....try a laquer or an enamel paint that is heat tested and/or curable and stay away from clears, period.

They do sell 500* clear coat paint I know for sure. Not so sure about 1300.

I put some on my brake calipers and it keeps them looking very shiny.

I found 1500 CC at Canadian Tire
They have other colors as well.

Does it work?
Don't know yet, but will know by the weekend....
My Hookers are now black with clear coat over them.
