I have a Edellbrock Air Gap manifold that is drilled and tapped for nitrous. Is a separate NOS nozzle for each port required or do I just come off of a cenral metering block with steel line fitted to each port? As you can tell, haven't had any experience with this before.
I think I would be afraid to buy an engine with nitros ports on each intake runner!
But most kits just come with a plate that fits between the carb and intake for notrous and fuel to be injected. Never seen a commercial (non race) kit with port injectors for a V8.

hahahaha Ive seen that one before...Ive also seen the price... its an effing cool setup though. I might stick one on the top of my 434 just because its pretty

I run a NOS Fogger (eight nozzles, one in each port) on my 454. Don't let the looks intimidate you. The Foggers are the better way to go becasue there are no issues regarding distribution. Plates are usually good up to 200-250 hp, past that you need to make sure all the runners flow pretty equally or you can run into fat or lean cylinders, either will destroy a motor.
To answer your question, yes a seperate nozzle is require for each port. If you need the nozzles give Nitrous supply a call (714) 373 1986. They have very good tech. guys there also
Does look complicated and expensive. Maybe the throttle plate is the way to go if my hood will close. Only looking for a 100 shot to add a little extra ummph.
I have been wondering about nitrous for a very long time, and i dont think i quite understand it, and if i can put it on my engine.
So i really only want like a 150 shot.
Heres my setup.
383 stroker
torker 2 manifold
11 to 1 compression
xe268
hydralic lifters
hardened rods
guideplates
aluminum heads
If you guys could help that would be awesome!!
I think maybe you know the plate would work, but im just not sure if it will work with that cam and what not. Really not sure of anything to tell you the truth..haha..Thanks a bunch

main consideration with NOS is carb jetting and strength in the bottom end, if youve got a high flowing, slightly rich carb setup and a strong, good parts, 0 oil burning bottom end, then Id say you shouldnt have a lot of problems running a 100 shot.
