Default [Sorta OT] Hey all! im Back!

Just saying hey to all the guys who may remember me. havent been on in a while cuz i thought the VB switch killed my account. well i managed to figgure it all out, and itll take some getting used to but i can see its for the better.

update on my project... the vette is now in Wyoming, while i am still in CO there are pros and cons to this. obvious con, its 3.5hrs away. but the best pro... No Emissions!! WOO. anyway not much has happend since the nitrous addition, need to get the trans serviced, and the engine needs to be tuned, no biggie. the Typhoon is taking all my time and money right now, as im looking at doing a body swap, but dunno if im wanting to do that much work. but as soon as i can afford it the vette will recieve a set of AFR heads, and a T-88 turbo to compliment them

oh to anyone that may have been following my Wheel projects... i did buy the massive wheel adapters needed to run 98+ camaro offset wheels. which means that i could have bolted my Z06 wheels up, if the things werent 9.5" wide which is actually a problem for the vette and the Typhoon, so im seriously considering having them narrowed. (who does that??? )

thought id check in and see how my C3 buddies are doing.

Hey Ben,

I followed your whole body build up and paint.
Many people will not know how far she has come.
You should put a before picture on the web page.
Now, she looks like she's getting a whole lot more 'go', too.

Good luck with the upgrades

Good to see you back on the forum. Both of our cars have came a long ways since you were last on here. The turbo on the vette will be sweet Looking forward to seeing your projects on the forum.

only ones i have up on the web at the moment.

Thanks for the kind words all.

And now for the bad news It was a freak reversing accident, but my dad bumped the trailer with his truck, and the trailer bumped the vette. it took a big chunk of paint out of the front bumper. i was pissed for about a week after it happened but came to the conclusion, what can ya do?

not to mention my former neighbor (some of you know her from my rants, she caused $1000 in damage to my old blazer and got away with it because she denied it) well im pretty sure either her or her son kicked the rear bumper because one day i came out of the house and the paint on the back had spiderwebs like crazy

so it will undergo another paint job within the next couple years. im gonna get a vannacorvette fiberglass front bumper, bond it to the body, remove the license plate bracket from the bumpercover and the bumper, and have a nice wide open space for a big intercooler. of course it will be black and hide behind a billet grill, so that nothing is given away right off the bat. i also plan on molding the ground effects to the body, and doing a couple more custom things. targa top maybe?

but im using this paint job as my "Drag Race" paint job. gotta make the best of things right? so im going to focus on getting it fast before pretty again. need to get the typhoon fixed 1st though. too many projects, not enough money!

its good to see some familiar faces arround here too! i thought there was a surge of C3 buyings at one point because i didnt recognize anybody.

its good to know that with all the internet bench racing and bickering between the people on the other forums im on or moderate, that i can come back to CF and see that at least in the C3 section everyone is coexisting with harmony.

hrmm... maybe thats the solution to world peace? everyone on the planet needs a C3.

nah scratch that.

I remember ya, love that car

edit: geez, took me a second but now I remember you having the 'phoon. My friend Ted blew his up recently but rebuilt it with a better turbo, etc. He's still having problems during the break in, but hopefully will get it going soon. Unfortunately I predict some broken driveline parts in his future! Hope yours is doin' well.
