Every corvette supplier has shifter plate ID labels so whatever you want you can get. There are small diffeences between the repros and the originals like the font size. Don't assume you label is the original.
Much easier to change a plate than the trans. Is the motor you have a true LT1 motor?

The engine in there now is a target engine. I was thinking the engine label was made into the plate. Upon closer examination it seems it may be a separate label glued in. The car is bastardized. I haven't checked the trans numbers. It has the original style chrome bumper on the rear and an 80 front clip. The front clip kinda makes the car look sharper than orignal, I think. I bought the car for a daily driver and will easily get my money out of it that way.
