Hopefully I'll save someone some time and trouble. I ordered the ES poly eng & tranny mount kit from Summit. Last year I found out the ES tranny mount for a manual car doesn't fit. The mount for a TH400 was supposed to fit BUT- same mount, same problem it's .300" taller then the stock mounts.
ES #3.1108 doesn't fit TH400,Muncie, or BW ST-10 corvettes regardless what the Summit or the ES web site says. The ES customer service dept confirmed it fits everything BUT Corvette!
why should parts for corvettes fit now anyway, they haven't for some time!

I hope that's only true for that kit - I just received an ES 3-1120G kit from Summit for my 69!!
Gentlemen,
I kid you not. I have the same tranny mount on my desk for over year now that came in the kit. # 3.1108G- G = black.
Here's what I talking about. The mount on the right is an original 72 TH400 mount, middle is the ES mount, left is an original 75 BWST-10 mount. The bolt hole spread on the 2 original are slightly different.
Here is the 75 4 spd mount,1.788"
Here is the ES poly mount -called for both Th400 and 4 spd cars
When I measured the brand new ES mount and compared it to the TH400 it was .300" taller. I called ES and spoke to the customer service tech, don't recall his name, and he checked with someone else and they said NG on Corvette. last year I went to Prothane I believe that Jegs uses and they had the 4 spd poly mount that fit. I called Prothane today and I'm waiting on a return call.

I have the ES mount from the kit on my TH400 in a '77 and no problems. It may be .3" taller but I don't see a problem with that. You should have the clearance in the tunnel for it.

That's why I called ES first and they said NO. First one guy said to shim the crossmember with washers,he had no idea the exhaust even went through the crossmember. I'll get the mount that fits correct. They're already shipped back to Summit.

At the counter at Summit I told them I needed a kit for a '77. They looked it up and gave me the complete kit which I used with no problems.
Since mine is on stands at this time changing TH400 shift points, thought I would snap a picture to prove they work.
I also can put my hand on top of the trans so plenty of clearance. Also worth noting that I run a 2.5" driveshaft with no clearance problems either. Of course, if your body is lower on the frame, that could affect the clearance.
Also, in the picture above that shows the calipers on the ES mount, that doesn't take into consideration the compression once on the car. The gap between the mount and the steel plate shown is closed completely which preloads the mount.

Thanks for the picture,it does help to see how yours fits. I was concerned about driveshaft alignment. Interesting to see how much it compresses under load too. The people at ES didn't mention any preload compression, didn't say much in fact other then it wasn't for Corvette. In my case I'm going to pass on them. I'm glad it worked out for you. The intent of this post was not to bash ES, but to inform other CF members of the potential problem I experienced so they can make up their mind. Your input diffinately helps with this process.
