Default storage question

My garage is underground and not heated. Stays about 35 deg. F. during the coldest part of the winter up here. How much gas should I leave in my car? Should I start it every once in a while or is that unnecessary? Thanks for the advice.

I'd suggest 1/2 tank of gas with Briggs n Stratton brand fuel stabilizer , not Stabil .

Fresh engine oil and filter and put it up hot , saying running 30 minutes or so then don't start it again till spring . Tend to the battery though .

Putting it up hot will ensure moisture is out of the oil and the exhaust system .

Jackstand it if you can to help keep from flat spotting the tires . Deflate the tires if you jackstand it .

I put fuel stabilizer in at the gas station, fill it up and drive it into the garage, onto four small pieces of carpet to keep the tires from flat spotting....cardboard will do too.

Disconnect the battery and then put it on trickle charge once a month for a day.

I put a coat of wax on mine prior to covering it up and leave a box of baking soda inside the car. I use a breathable cover for what it's worth....
