brake question
I had just completed my brakes and I went to test my brakes to see if they work and they do however I have to press the pedal down all the way to the floor to get it to stop. Even when the car is turned off there is still about 4- 5 inches of pedal you can push down on. How do i give the pedal more resistance to push down on.

If the system was working fine and the pedal went down I would suspect a system leak or bad M/C. Since you just completed brake work I would look at air in the system. How did you bleed the system and did you check the rotors for runout?

i agree and would think a rebleeding session is in order, make sure rear end of car is up high when you bleed the rear calipers and do not use a mity vac to bleed. go to previous posts on brakes there is more then enough information. i think in the last two weeks there was a post on "gravity bleeding brakes" that got a lot of good posts start there.
