Has anyone replaced the hard line brake line for the front passenger side on a C3? I'm replacing lines and I found the nut stripped on the hard line so I'm planning on replacing it and wondering how big of a job it is. I traced the line but wondering if it can be done without removing anything....Thanks
RF line goes from the brass block in the fender well across the front crossmember to brass block on the Left side. Various clips hold it to the frame. It can be done with the car in the air.

Yes, it can-did my '75 coupe & '68 convertible a few years ago. Naturally a non-A/C car is easier to do, as there is no compressor to work around(or under, shall I say). Parts of the line you may have to carefully "unbend" and slide line into place and carefully "rebend back" as you install the line. This is particularly true when you have to get the line ""up & over" the front sway bar. Not hard-just be careful and take your time.
Not a fun job to do, but can be done without taking anything out. Very little space and some pretty tight turns. I couldn't get the prebent one soon enough, so I have a bunch of line from kragen that I pieced together. Might try doing it with metal coat hangers first to get the manuevering right before you do the actual line.
I have a 73 vette as well. I replaced all my brake lines hard and soft along with the brass distribution blocks with the body on. It was a pain in the --- but it can be done.
slightly OT but... jay is your car the red vette that was recently painted and shown at the Beacon Street grille Cruise in nights??
Bob, I have never been there on the Cruise night, was at the Seaside show this past September, right now vette is on jack stands getting all the brakes overhauled...
