Well my buddy (corvette nut) convinced me to do a frame off so now I'm taking apart all the suspension components I busted my @$$ putting on with the body still in place. Now the problem...
I'm enticed by the trailing arm deal considering I was going to have a professional do the wheel bearings anyways + the parking brake is in need of repair. That said I attempted to tackle the trailing arms today so i could have the frame ready for sand blast this week.
1. What are some of your techniques for getting the main bolt out!?!? It's seized up pretty good and appears like it's going shear. We had to cut out the camber strut rods because of this but this looks much worse.
2. Also, brake/fuel lines. Reuse them? (new EFI engine) Or could I just run braided stainless ones?
3. Lastly, where can I purchase the bushing for the differential to the frame?
You should be able to cut the bolt out. Pop out the shims, and you will have enough bolt exposed to cut. If the body is off the frame, definately run new lines. If not, replace if you think they need it. With the body on it will take some effort to replace. You can purchase all the bushings you want from Van Steel.
Since you have the body off you should definitely replace the brake lines. Don't skimp on the safety items or it may come back to bite you when you least expect it. I believe EFI systems require larger fuel lines so this is an ideal time to run new fuel lines also. The only things I'm thinking of reusing on my brake system are the junction blocks. Pre-bent brake lines are not that expensive.

we cut them out with a reciprocating saw and used all new stainless steel brake lines and new rubber hoses (wish i had used braided stainless steel) the complete package trailing arms are the only way to go and make sure they have stainless steel parking brake stuff in them.. while everything is out check the play in the differential side yokes. i used the HD 1/4 " c channel trailing arms and they are really nice. good luck
