What do these wires do? (See Picture)
Hi,
Could someone tell me what these wires do? The red and green wires on the right are connected to the transmission. When I went under the vehicle, the green wire was not connected. It Looks as if they are connected to the reverse gear.
There was also a black wire that was cut off. It looked as if it was supposed to be connected to the sensor shown on the left, but the wire did not have the female end and was not connected. This sensor is located on the transmission near the clutch.

The pink and green wires go to the reverse light switch that is mounted on the side cover and attaches to the reverse lever with a short rod. If you trace these wires up to the firewall you'll see that they come through just inboard and below the steering column.
